Items Needed in the Science Lab
From time to time I’d like to do an experiment and need something from home - usually something that would normally end up in the trash or recycle bin. I’ll add and remove from this list throughout the year.
- Please save, wash and send in any clear plastic with a recycle code of
found on bakery trays, salad containers from take-out ( the school cafeteria salads are in this container as are the small side salad dishes).
- Do you eat “Push-Up” ice cream for a snack? If yes, please bring in the push up stick and platform (wash them first, please) - they make great wheels and axles. THANK YOU!
-
Please send in clean pull caps from sports drink and water bottles (the top that you pull up or twist to open and drink) for a project later this year (if I can get enough). It looks like the pict

Dear Dr.Malenkovic I have a question about the hover craft expirement we did in the lab once. My question is: if you do not have a disc what else can you use to be the platform of the hover craft?

Hi Sara,
Try a plastic plate, something flat with little friction. It won’t already have a hole, so be consistent on the size of the hole you poke in it. Or just pick up a free CD somewhere (like AOL CD at office store or walmart/target)
